I have several sites doing a upgrade which will require a power cycle of all equipment.
I have 3560 and 3550 so far half of my sites had 3550 loose the IOS during boot up. What could cause this.
I checked several switches and and there has been no change to the config or register.
If you any...
This doesn't look good but you can try to
FORMAT the flash
and load a new IOS and see if that will help..
Remember when you format the flash it erases everything so do not reboot the switch
good luck
I also never worked on a 2960 but I know you tftpdnld on routers but cisco switches you need to do xmodem which take hours.....
copy xmodem: flash:IOS_filename
try to default the interface
see if will stay no shut if it does then put your configuration back on and see what happens..
config t
default interface gig0/3
end
sh int
config t
int g0/3
no shutdown
end
show run int g0/3
!
show int g0/3
Well if it is fiber all u probable needs is to retip the ends
I would test fiber and make sure DB loss is under 4 before I wold run cables.
Also if you are using gbic look for symbol errors
show controllers ethernet-controller gigabitEthernet ?/?
Can you just run a temp cable to see if that fix your.
don't know what type of cabling or issue you have
but I would start with replace patch cable then repunch down.
if it is fiber test the fiber patch cable also
it is not I don't trust I just don't want them to see passwords I am using
I can do this myself without any problems. Just want to have some guys run this script.
If there is a way to disable echo for commands I am in business.
thanks for your concern
I am writing a script to issues command however I don't want people to see the command being used passwords ip address etc.
So is there a way to turn off echo so commands do not echo back to the screen.
don't know if this is possible so any help would be great th4nks
I guess I would use a static route.
My not sure this will work cause I can't connect to that switch I am trying to access it all I know is it password and IP address.
I might be better doing this
vlan database
vlan 47
exit
config t
int vlan 47
ip address 192.168.10.5 255.255.255.0
no shut
int...
will something like this work
thanks
vlan database
vlan 47
exit
config t
int g0/5
no switchport
ip address 192.168.10.5 255.255.255.0
int f0/1
switchport access vlan 47
no shut
exit
I have a L3 switch and another switch that has a different ip address how would I connect to it connect to switch through fiber cabling how would I configure the L3
