    I bought one from newegg for $3.99, it looks like a cheap piece of plastic but it works fine, I had it for almost a year now and use it everyday for my DVD player.

    wahnula, I was using HD Tune, HDD temperature, and, HDD thermometer. I use HD Tune most of the time on my laptop since that gets hot pretty quick.

    If you hook it up with the old drive in it, it's going a slave drive. You'll see it my computer as D or E. You most likely bought a SATA drive, you probably need a IDE drive. You could also buy a SATA adapter which will fit in a standard PCI slot.

    I just dl and installed a whole bunch of HDD temp monitors. My temp is over 400F degrees, I never thought this was possible. My system isn't running sluggish. What should I do? Thanks.
