    Stuck BCA's

Hello, Last December we removed our NEC IPS2000 and installed a ShoreTel system. We are a medical facility and have several dept's and clinics that require a main number (ext) and then 2 rollover lines. In the old days we called this a "square" setup. This worked well with the NEC. The ShoreTel...

IPS2000 Network switch setting for CCIS

Hello All, I am looking to verify what the appropriate, normal, or most often used settings (if there is such a thing) for the Network side of things when using CCIS. We are using Cisco switches (Catalyst 3560's) to connect to our IPS 2000 PBX's together. Am trying to verify things like---...

    PRI Cheat Sheet for 2000IPS

Hello Everyone, I need to add a PRI line onto our exsiting 2000IPS. We have one PRI currently in use for incomming calls only and its getting full from time to time. I am fairly proficient with 2000 programming but rarely need to do this kind of thing. I will be reviewing the programming...

Strange Call Forward problem across CCIS

Hi Billz66, The voice-mail is a UM8700 installed by NEC 2 years ago. The UM8700 lives on the 8PIM side (PBX-A)

Strange Call Forward problem across CCIS

The CCIS is IP. I did find another curious fact. If the IP phone in PBX-B is call forwarded "no-answer" only, the call from an IP phone in PBX-A will go to the voicemail box (this is how we discovered this issue..putting a voice-mail box on PBX-B)on the IP phone in PBX-B after about 10 rings and...

Strange Call Forward problem across CCIS

Hello All, We have an interesting situation, we have two IPS2000's connected via CCIS. Our Voice-Mail is a UM8700 attached to PBX-A. Until recently all of our IP phones were built in PBX-A. We decided to build some IP phones in PBX-B, so far so good, we then set up a voice mail box on the IP...

    DTI Line failure

Hello All, We have an NEC 2000IPS with a PRI for all incoming calls and another T1 for all outgoing calls. Lately we have received many complaints of intermitant phones calls, similar to a cell phone dropping in and out. The error logs show "DTI line failure Power failure kind Data F4 FF FF FF FF...

    Static noise on MOH

I tried ajusting the pot as suggested. By turning down the volume this did help as it reduced the level of the noise and it sounds OK now. I don't think it was a dirty pot as it did'nt react the way a "dirty" pot usually does.

    Static noise on MOH

Yes, I was thinking of trying that also but thought I would check with the Pro's first. Thanks Belevedere for the idea, I will try it this afternoon.

    Static noise on MOH

Hello, I have a static/buzz noise on my MOH. Our PBX is a NEC 2000IPS and the MOH input is via the CP-24 card. The "music" is clear all the way to the phono plug connecting to the CP-24 but when the caller hears the MOH they hear the noise along with the music, which implies the card is creating...

SIP Trunks on NEC IPS 2000

Belevedere, Thanks for the info, that gives me a good foundation. Would it be possible to provide me with a little more detail on the required programming. I can do all the basic stuff, but I think this might be over my head. Thanks again.

SIP Trunks on NEC IPS 2000

Hello Everyone, We have an NEC IPS2000 (R12.2) and would like to install SIP trunks. So, in a nutshell, is this possible? What hardware and software would be required? etc. Thanks in advance!

    AD-120 Call Handler question

Hi Peporter and thanx for your answer, sorry for the delay, I have been out for awhile. I can get my system to work internally as you say however if I call from an ext which has a V/M box the system thinks I am trying to access my own V/M and wants my password. My goal here is to set up a...

    AD-120 Call Handler question

Hello, I have a question regarding our AD-120. I would like to able to call from one internal ext to another internal ext and have the AD-120 screen the call (which then gives the caller info as to how long they have been holding, options to leave a message, etc) I can get this to work from an...

    DID or DISA?

Yes, good point. Can you provide a basic example of how to restrict outbound only. I am somewhat familiar with the NEC programs so if you point me in the right direction I think I could figure it out. Thank-You!

    DID or DISA?

OK, it works!!! had to fiddle with it a bid. Thank you belevedere and DrPbx. One more question..... when I call the assigned DID number it rings twice before it returns the dial tone. Is there a way to shorten this. This site is awesome, learned alot!

    DID or DISA?

Thank you for the quick response, yes we do have DID service but on a limited basis. We also have an incoming PRI. But I was originally thinking more along the lines of one or two TK's as our incoming call volume would not be that great. We do have an AD-120 Voice mail and we can call into that...

    DID or DISA?

Hi, We have a NEC IPS (R12.2) I have been asked to create a way for employees to call into the system and access any ext directly, day or nite (bypass the receptionist) I know the system has DID and DISA, not sure which would work best and a little unclear on the programming. Any thoughts? Thanks

    Neax AD-120 dropping calls

Hi, just saw these responses...thanx. I ended up working with NEC direct on this. They claimed it was a known flaw in the "blind Xfer" over CCIS ( I did forget to mention that we have two sites routing over CCIS ) The AD-120 is set to release the call to the switch and I'm not sure I agree...
