So from what I understand, th most economial way is to use voicemail embedded with the small office edition and use foward buttons to phantom mailboxes each with their own greeting?
Does each mailbox have more than one greeting option? If so is it possible to create a shortcode that enables...
Trying to setup a small office with only 4 extensions and I am think of using the small office edition.
1 requirement they would like to have is setting up different messages as a do not disturb. They do not want to go into voicemail and change greetings. They perfer on the receptionist phone...
I noticed lately on Outlook for the send receive status that if I send an email out it says sending 2 of 2 or 3 of 3 when I only sent 1 email and the Outbox is empty.
Tonight, I have not sent an email in hours and all of a sudden it says sending messages s 6 of 6 but it returned an error for...
I noticed a post from August regarding DATE and TIme being displayed on digital sets.
It stated you can add a button for displaying this.
Has this changed since August? Currently have Version 4.1 and was wondering if it can now display by the name.
Couldn't find anything at that link.
I do not see an option that says Transfer under short codes.
Is it a flash hook function?
Anyone ever programmed a short code for an analog phone to transfer a call?
Just experienced this with McLeod service. Make sure they have Call Waiting turned on in their switch. It is not the same call waiting that we are used to with the beeps but acts like a virtual call path similar to 800 numbers.
Customer wants to switch from email notification to having the system ring their cell phone when a new voicemail is received. The documentation seems vague on the setup.
Does anyone have a step by step?
Ok Figured it out:
Turns out I created 299 as the Phantom "User" I lef the extension blank since there was no phone attached.
IPO recognizes the user when you dial the 299 and it will forward the calls
But when you put it in the Hunt Group 203 it will not do anything.
I went and added a...
Hunt group is sequential
Foward Unconditional is checked
Forwad Hunt Group Calls is checked
Forward Internal Calls is checked
Still nothing.
Dial the extension direct and AA picks up
Dial the Hunt Group with that extension as the only one in there and nothing happens
Ok I did some snooping on Embedded Voicemail;
1. It Appears the shortcode has to be a # instead of a *
2. But when you forward unconditional it will not let you use a # in front of the shortcode (in this case #80)
3. I created a shortcode:
80
AutoAttendant
AA:DaytimeAA
This works.
Dial 80 it...
I completed everything you mentioned above with the AA named as DaytimeAA.
Forward Unconditional
Forward number *99
In short codes I entered
*99
VoicemailCollect
AA:DaytimeAA
I also created user PhantomAA ext 299.
When I dial 299 there is dead air
When I dial *99 there is dead air
I...
I have it setup but I am unsure of the AA shortcode.
I have Embedded Voicemail and I have several shortcodes it appears for the AA.
In AA:
*8101 shows Morning
*8201 show afternoon
*8301 Shows evening
*8401 show Menu
In Short codes:
*81XX
Auto Attendant
"AA:"N".1"
0
I know in AA...
So
I should create another hunt group called <OverflowAA>
then create a user and assign to that hunt group with a forwarding shortcode? Am I understanding that correctly?
I am new to IP office, but doesn't that seem archaic? It almost seems like we are tricking the system vs programming it...
IPO 406v2 4.1(9) with embedded voicemail
The customer changed their mind on having AA pick up first and now want it afte 6 rings.
In the DID assignment I switched the Destination to the Main hunt group but on fallback I do not see the AA listed. Only the hunt groups. When I go to hunt groups...
406v2 running 4.1(9)
Embedded voicemail is installed and mailboxes are working correctly.
In DID Conf I have the main number pointing to Destination AA:Daytime with the Fallback to the operatot extension.
I recorded the AA using shortcode *8101 and I am able to playback.
When you call in...
