It is indeed an iDCS-500, with an MGI-16 and an SVMI-8E installed.
The phones are on thier own subnet and there is no DHCP server. They're connected through a mix of 10/100 Cisco 2900XL, 2950, and Netgear FSM7328S managed switches. QoS is not installed.
I'll take a look at the MGI card and...
So, it just occured to me...maybe there's a licensing issue?
Here's my hypothesis:
The handsets are trying to find a license but the license is expired. Not being able to find a valid license, they all lock up at the same time. OR perhaps the opposite is occuring. The PBX checks for a valid...
Hey everyone, I was hoping someone might help me troubleshoot this problem. I've inherited this problem from another admin who was at his wit's end trying to figure it out.
We've got a Samsung iDCS 500 PBX connected to 7 ITP5121D VoIP handsets. Some of the handsets are at another building (the...
I installed an RRAS server to route between 192.168.91.0 and 192.168.254.0 but it's not working. The RRAS server is part of the ACME domain.
Nic 1 (internal LAN)- 192.168.91.53, 255.255.255.0, no GW
Nic 2 (external WAN)- 192.168.254.2, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.254.1
LAN Routing is installed...
Ok, I've got a bit of a complex problem (at least it is to me). Here's what I've got:
A Windows Server 2008 computer with VMware Server 2.x installed and hosting 3 guests
1) DC1: Windows Server 2008 domain controller
- Nic #1: Host Only, 192.168.91.51, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.91.53...
It was a bad port. When I traced the cable to the IPO expansion module, I noticed the light was dimmer than the others. I moved the line to another port and swapped the extension numbers, and now it works fine.
Is there any way to disable the port so no one uses it?
Old power supply? It's been working fine for years. And the exp module isn't quite full. But I rebooted it again just to be sure...still says, "Please wait"
Muppet patching? I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Ahh, it must be Monday.
So I came in this morning and one of our phones displays "Please Wait" on it. We are using an IP Office 403 system and all handsets are Avaya 5410.
The actual display shows:
5410D REL:2.00 9/21/04
Please wait...
It was working fine Friday and we haven't upgraded...
Well, it looks like I fixed it.
Since there wasn't a remote PC with Manager installed, I tried using our local installation of Manager (unfortunately, it is a much older version). I was able to log on to the remote unit but when I tried applying changes to the configuration (or even rebooting...
I loaded up Monitor and was able to see the time stamp on the logs...it is exactly 7 hours fast. It's currently 14:39 and the log shows 21:39.
I've confirmed that there isn't a Manager installed at the remote location, so that brings up the next question.
Is the Admin software version tied to...
Ok, so I don't think there's a PC with Manager installed at the remote site. I was able to connect to the remote site with the local Manager though.
On the system configuration form, I changed the IP address to the IP address of the local PC that's running Manager, then merged the config. When...
I'm new to this job and recently, users in a remote office tell me that when they listen to thier voicemail, the time stamp is off by 7 hours. Since we are in California, I suspect that the time zone is wrong.
They have an IP406 with embedded vouicemail. There is a PC at my location with...
Well, it didn't work...or more accurately, I couldn't get the Restore to work. I tried several things including Recovery Storage Groups, but after days of fighting it, I tried reinstalling Outlook again...AND IT WORKED!!! To my amazement, it just worked...same system, same software.
So, now...
They don't have Exchange Server 2003 in the downloads area anymore, now that Exchange 2007 is out. But I thought of another way to get it...buy a Microsoft Exchange Server Training book with an eval copy in it. It's not free, but it gets me the software. I'll try to pick something up tonight and...
Have you taken a look at MozyPro (http://www.mozy.com)? It's what I recommend to my clients. Mozy is owned by EMC, a well known and stable storage technology company. MozyPro is only $3.95/mo + $0.50/GB
A pretty good deal.
Chris
I tried restoring a full backup to an identical system and installing Outlook onto it. Everytime I tried installing Outlook, the installation would hang. It copies the installation files, then hangs with out an error or event log entry. I tried two different CDs, an administrative install, and...
So, I've been called in to clean up a mess another "expert" created.
Here's the deal, my client had been using an evaluation version of Exchange 2003 on an evaluation version of Windows Server 2003 EE (believe it or not, they paid over 10K for this single server setup). The eval expiration was...
