I thought about your suggestion before I posted but only mouse propertys listed in the Properties - CommandButton VBA box is MouseIcon and MousePointer.
I am using MS Excel 2003.
Any further suggestions
Is it possible to have or set a up or down property to an excel command button like you can to an access one.
I want to be able to change the BackColour when the the button is clicked down and then back again to it's original colour when its up?
Any suggestions would be great

Hi - I have manage by trial and many many errors managed to kind of get this to work but now excel is displaying the result wrong.
