    G700 Deployment

Have an office with an s8300 in a g700 along with 3 more g700s. Switched to ip phones so wanted to know if it was safe to remove those 3 g700s now that they are no longer needed for digital phones? If so, how can g700s be redeployed for smaller offices to work without an s8300 or as an lsp if...

    Audix attendant

Exellent, thank you! Would not have thought to look there.

    Audix attendant

Strange issue I can't figure out. I call an extension with no voicemail assigned. After 4 rings, audix should pick up and send the call to the attendant. Instead, audix picks up and forwards the call to another existing extension (9876 for ex.) which ends up ringing that phone. Any calls to...

G3 dialing to CallMgr to S8300

Yes, that would work with 4 digit dialing. But users will dial 9,1-609-xxx-xxxx, which i want to route over the ip trunk to callmanager which will then take over the routing. So, my question is what digit manipulation can i do in the G3 so that users don't have to change their dialing habit and...

G3 dialing to CallMgr to S8300

Hello, i have ip trunks connecting my 2 avaya pbxs (g3 & s8300) to the cisco callmgr. From callmgr to the 8300 i have a route setup to dial 91609xxx.9xxx, strip everything predot and and a trailing #. The reason being we dial 9 from callmgr to get dial tone so can't do 4 digit dialing. Works...

    s8300 46xx phones

Excellent, thanks Mitch. I have followed your advice and have uploaded the files. As for the settings file, it seems in the comment lines that if you are using dhcp then you don't need to set anything on that file. Am I wrong and if so what are minimum settings that need to be changed on it...

    s8300 46xx phones

Can anyone provide the 46xx .tar file for communication manager 2.1? I'm trying to setup our 8300 as the http/tftp server for the phones for the first time but I need to upload that tar file to it. Avaya's site only has tar files: "46xx_ipphone_cm3.1_eng-2.9.1-0.i386" and above which I can't...

    Call Mgr H323 Question

The reason for my problem was due to a channel issue on the avaya side of the configuration. I found out that to run a trace from the cucm you go to cucm serviceability, trace configuration & choose the callmgr service. Open the file it downloads to your pc and search through it for the...

    Call Mgr H323 Question

The answer to all your questions is yes. A trace on the avaya side shows the call hitting the correct trunk but the call still fails, fast busy. The avaya pbx has more than 1 clan card, would it matter which one is chosen?

    Call Mgr H323 Question

Yes, that is exactly what i'm doing, trying to connect cucm to avaya over an ip-wan. So after configuring both sides based on that document, when I dial I get a fast busy. I have run the dial plan analyzer and everything is going where it’s supposed to so I’m thinking Callmgr isn’t seeing the...

    Call Mgr H323 Question

I am following the h323 configuration setup for connecting cucm 4.2 to avaya using the following document: http://www.avaya.com/usa/resource/assets/applicationnotes/ip-trunk-cm.pdf The document makes no mention of dial peers on the router side so will this configuration work without them? I...

    Rings to Voicemail

Beginner's question. How do I change the amount of rings before calls go to voicemail in CM4.2?
