Thanks for the response. It turned out to be a layout problem that seeminly vanished the tabs (twice) so it was rebuilt with a different layout name. It was the long way around, but finally working again.
In Act v8 Prem/Workgroups, I would like to move just older customers from the current db, as they are inactive and won't be seen again, to another databased named Expired. Can I select just some of the entire list for export? Conversely, is there a way to import a customer from one db to another?

Thank you Mike. I have unzipped (again) the backup.zip to my backup ACT folder. I have done a thourough search, but do not find the .adf file. There is a RESTORE_PAD file, and many .BAK files, but no executeable file. Could the backup be corrupt if those files are missing?
Restore as gives me the same error message - Incorrect zip file type for this operation in Act v8 for workgroups. I unzipped the file to a directory, and the named .pad file was not located so that did not help. Does anyone know of a workaround? Thanks
