This is good but my printer does not have password protection. according to the article they will be able to access the printer using the UNC format for network resources.
Is there anyway to lockdown my printer? there are two ways to get to print to my printer; through the network and ip address.
example. when people login through my domain they can get to my printer from the server. but I am finding out people are getting to the printer another way.
all they...
I have a cisco router 1860 that I use for a small business. it's an older model but it works.
the other day someone plugged in a linksys router into the network to test something he was working on and he knocked everyone out of the system.
both routers are all pointing to 192.168.1.1 I...
Thanks again. I Saw this card too and called HIS. it doesn't have windows 7 64 bit drivers. the amd site asks for type of card I'm looking for. it's what I'm trying to find.
I'm looking for a PCI video card that supports windows 7 64 bit. I've already tried these two and I called the manufacurer. they don't support 64 only windows7 32.

this was only happening when that person sends a message. everything else is fine. I thought it was some kind of setting on his part to flip the switch on some kind of security swtch when replying.
Problem Solved. Thanks Chris.
I thought it was a security feature of the new office. it would have been nice if it was to turn it off and on for a sender.
The disappearing body still happens in office 2003 but I don't know what triggered it to 'do not send reply'
I mean the message body is gone. lets use an example below:
when I open a message from certain people I can read the message.
When I hit reply / reply all or forward I get this:
-----Original Message-----
From: <person that sent me the mail>
Sent: <date and time sent>
To: <me and others>...
sometimes I get email messages from someone I know that sends me a message using outlook. I don't know what version. when I reply to him the reply message disappears. the only thing that remains is from sent to and subject. the rest is gone.
I can read the message in my inbox but when I...
Thanks for answering.
I already use a VPN for remote access and I just thought that maybe I can use a WAN server to backup another server in case one goes down. I figure a sync every hour should do it if realtime is not possible ( I was going for constant updating).
Everyone's is getting into the cloud (and yes I know it's just another name for Wide area network.).
I want to use the cloud as a backup server.
in our office we have two servers. windows 2008 and Windows 2003 server.
The 2008 server is relativity new and I want to sync the files from one...

chances are it's not a McDonalds. There is an address connected to the IP address, even if it's DHCP. the ISP has records of leases and with my lawyers help I can get the information I need to find and sue. Just put in the paper work to end Cyber Terrorism.
Thank again for the advice. the flood of mail has gone down from 5000 per day to 100 and dropping.
I have taken precautions for that not to happen again. I called my mail provider and they told me of a way to trace the person that did this.
Look at the headers of the junk mail and find...
Hello Tek-tips group.
I have a question about a webserver.
I am trying to make my own cloud; something similar to this: http://ppl.ug/j25eCBWopk4/
I want to stream music and video and show pictures and also assign username and passwords to users that I share the site with; so they can upload...
Hi . I just got a desktop with a core2 quad core processor and could have gotten the single core for the same price. I stupidly did the research after the purchase and found out that the quad core might not be as good as the single core processor. Is this true?
