I do this all the time! Yes, it will work, and no the phone will not continue to ring. I have had a little issue from the ATA locking up, but on newer switches that has not been an issue. I run a security system over a configuration your discussing here.
Typically the management LAN does not connect to your corporate LAN, and therefor may not be affected by your RE-IP project. Typically on the T-LAN connects to your Data network.
You should x-fer the call to the Ext of the Voice Mail and send following digits of the "mailbox number" for your trying to reach. So really, if you make the mailbox nnumber the same as the Ext. of the phone, then that's what you would send.

SSC cards on Rls 24 and earlier can only use 48Meg Card and Rls, 25.08 and higher can use up to a 64 Meg Card.
They are right about the formatting, although if you get Type II ATA flash cards, they are usually formatted for use!!
