I've tried every which way to export data to a preformated spreadsheet could never do it. What I did was export the data to its default sheet name and location and then reference this sheet in the formatted sheet.
I found out our ip address was listed in 2 databases. I have removed them from the databases. We must have been used as an open relay.
To stop this I have added a Routing Restriction to only allow Hosts and clients with these IP addresses and listed our internal NAT addresses and mask.

I think this may have happend on our e-mail server is there any way to find out if your server has been attacked in such a way that it is being used to send out spam?
I have a computer with an ultra 160 SCSI card with a 68 pin cable. In searching for a new drive for the machine all I seem to be able to find with 68 pins are Ultra 320 drives. Will they work?
Thanks in advance
not one that would use dynamic addressing or one that is connected to the network.
I guess what is bugging me the most is that there is a computer that is attached to the network that is set up for DHCP but cannot reach the DHCP server.
I've been sniffing for any communication from...
So I don't have to look it up (and if anyone knows off hand)...how frequently will a computer that auto assigns itself an IP address search for a DHCP server?
yes...it was 169.254.x.x (a little dyslexia on my part) but that is how i knew it is coming from a client unable to reach the DHCP server.
the odd part about it is it has to becoming from one of the workstations because all of the servers and printers have static ip addresses. yet no one has...
We do have switches. Which brings me to two questions:
1) Where would I place the sniffer? If I put it on a workstation attached to the switch it will only pick up the communications between the workstation and the switch since a switch does not broadcast to all ports on the switch(correct?)...
Unfortunately almost all the cards we use are Cisco cards so knowing the vendor doesn't much help. any way to identify the host name with a mac address?
One of the computers on my network must be having an issue connecting to the DHCP server because I am getting an IP spoof message from my firewall giving an IP address of 269.154.79.203 coming from the LAN.
This cannot be one of the users' computers because no one has indicated an issue...
Hi all
I am working on a page to create an e-mail form. I would like to populate the who to send to dropdown box from a text file or some source that I can just upload to our hosting site every week or so rather than modify the select dropdowns everytime an employee leaves or we hire one.
I...
What is your IP setup at the remote sites - DHCP or static? If DHCP, check the WINS server in the Scope Option. If you can UNC to the remote machines TCP/IP - DNS is fine.
By sites I assume you mean offices connected by routers. If so did you change the routing tables on the routers to see the new 10.2.100.X network? Did you change the IP addresses out at the sites?
These two settings are only User Configuration so machine placement doesn't matter. Try modifyig the Domain Controller security to allow User2 - 3 - 4 to log on to the Domain Controller. Once you do this see if the GPO applies when they log on to the DC.
If you don't want to modify your DC...
In step 4 when you say move the CD image to c:\folder\I386 I assume you are talking about the i386 directory from the SP2 cd not the i386 created from the extract?
Also, In step 5 I'll assume that the update.exe -s will propt for the location to slipstream into?
By locally I assume you mean when the administrator logs on to the Domain Controller? What about when the administrator logs onto another workstation?
RECAP:
Domain.local
OU.Domain.local (GPO resides here)
User1 (member of UsersGROUP)
User2 (member of UsersGROUP)
User3 (member...
There are two things you can check. The first is the most obvious and that is that the users have rights to dial in (Dial in Tab of user properties).
The second is that the RRAS server is also set up as a DHCP relay Agent (IP Routing section of RRAS). If your environment uses DHCP, and you...
