We are currently running SBS 2003 R2. We have 2 conference rooms at our location. My boss is wanting to be able to schedule these conference rooms so we know when they are or aren't available for use. Can this be done via Exchange? If so, how? Any help would be appreciated.
I set up a new server this weekend and all seems ok but a few issues...normal I guess.
My biggest issue is with FTP. I have one user who uses CUTE FTP and we can not get it to connect to any of the ftp sites. It will say connected - waiting on welcome message - then just sits there. It never...

With this current set up I would want per seat correct? Do the network printers and handpunch timeclocks count against the CALs?
Ok, so just to clarify. Amazing how the little things confuse me. :)
I have 1 Server that we have 3 handpunch timeclocks, 2 network printers, 25 users and 21 workstations. One workstation is used by 6 users (supervisors on various shifts and 2 other users log onto 2 machines at once during...
Sorry for a very basic question but I am not sure which to go with. I have reinstalled SBS 2003 Premium R2 but still in the testing phase. Do I want Per Server or Per Seat? I have about 25 users and 1 Server. I have 2-3 users who log onto 2 machines at once. Is Per Server what I want?
Thanks!
Thanks Burt! I have been searching for an answer for over a week. It is frustrating when the HP tech that visits our site doesn't even have an answer for me. Makes me wonder about my Care Package.
We recently purchased a new Proliant ML310 G4 server from HP. Upon arrival the server would beep twice before booting. I have been around computers for a long time but new to working with servers. I always thought two beeps on POST were bad. I have had an HP tech out here and he has since...
Thanks ShackDaddy
I didn't see any type of SQL related programs in the start menu. I am guessing this means we have SQL MSDE.
I did check the services and this is what I found.
MSSQL$BKUPEXEC
MSSQL$SBSMONITORING
MSSQL$SHARPOINT
MSSQLServerADHelper
SQLAgent$BKUPEXEC
SQLAgent$SBSMONITORING...
I was given the Sys. Admin job even though this is not my job function (I have posted this before). There are a few things that are server related that I need assistance with. I posted earlier about DNS issues and ISP changes.
We are bringing up a new server in a few weeks. The current server...
I am a new System Admin due to some changes in our family business. We can not hire a consultant so I am trying to learn as I go.
The Sys. Admin. before me insisted on using Spam Lion for the email filter. I am just wondering if there is a better way to do this within SBS 2003. We are...
Due to family needs (small family business) I am now the System Admin for our company. This is not my normal job function so I am learning as I go. Not the best idea, I know, but we have no other choice at this time. I WISH I could hire a consultant.
So..I am asking for your help here...
