Hi,
This is probably anything but trivial, but consider this scenario:
I've got an Excel/CSV timesheet extract, with one line/entry "per date that someone does something on a task".
The excel field contains an identifier, let's call it "ERP Task ID". I have entered the same values on a text...
I can't get over how great this is. Now, getting frisky, I'd like to add a final touch:
Whenever I use this, I need to make sure I start over, i.e. I'm importing everything, so I need to clean up before doing so. If not, I'll end up with a mess because some periods in the .mpp are no longer...
I enabled the "Microsoft Excel 12 object library" in references - that worked!
Thanks a lot, I am thoroughly impressed. Can't wait to show my colleagues tomorrow :-)

Looking at it more closely, it seems the
For lngCntRow = 1 To lngLastRow
loop doesn't run, ie. the below doesn't produce an msgbox:
'loop through each row in spreadsheet
For lngCntRow = 1 To lngLastRow
MsgBox ("test")
lngResID =...
Thanks a lot for the effort! I'm impressed...
Unfortunately, it seems I can't get it to work. It comes as far as the "finished" prompt, but no dates are imported. Could it have something to do with my regional settings being danish, ie. date format confusion?
I suppose I'll have to do some...
Hi,
Now here's a challenge...
Where I am, resource availability is scattered, ie. people are allocated to projects on and off for a few days at a time over the duration of the project. Entering this into the resource availability dialogue manually every time bookings are updated is error prone...
Hi,
I am scheduling a project with some workshops requiring travel. There is one day of travel before and after each workshop, and I have chosen to add the travel to the duration of the workshop for simplicity. This means that the total length of a workshop (to avoid weekend travel) is 3 to 5...
Hi,
"Remaining availability" and "Work availability" are timephased fields.
What I am looking for is a total of "work availability" for the entire project.

Hi,
In MS Project 2007, is it possible to create a custom field which summs the contents of a timephased field for the entire project duration? Specifically, I would like to create a ressource field showing the total of available hours per ressource.
The use scenario is as follows:
In my...
Thanks,
To clarify:
Ressources must be able to have one or more skills - I can't see how I can do this with a value list on a ressouce text field. Would it make sense to create e.g. 10 such text fields on ressources?
The "should" and "could" can be boiled down to this: if task has value in...
Hi,
I'd like to achieve the following:
1) Tasks require different skills, though never more than one skill
2) Resorces may posses any number of skills
3) Some tasks should only have ressources with matching skill assigned
4) Some tasks could have any ressource assigned
5) I'd like to view the...
