    NDMP back up exclusion?

    Some NDMP specifications do support the EXCLUDE option. NetWorker does support it, although I haven't tested it...you certainly could try it with 6.x, and I'm sure it would work with 7.x. If you are doing NDMP backups, there are a lot of fixes in NetWorker 7.1.1, so definitely use that version...

    Snapimage (aka NDMP Tape Server) is an NDMP version 2 product. Try setting ndmp to version 2 on the netapp. Also, have you taken a look at the netapp ndmp logs?     raw device backup configuration (how to??)

    Try putting the raw device name in as the saveset name. At least on Windows, this works starting with networker 6.x, so you don't have to use a .nsr file. I believe it is similar with unix. For instance save /dev/rdsk/c1t2d3s4 Don't know how it works if you use a cooked alias. Dave
