Does Avaya have a network assessment tool they want you to run. If so, where can I dowload it at or what is the tool? I want to make sure I get a copy of it.
We are having almost the same problem with an install we did with an IP 500 and 4.0. It is not a network issue as we have have hammered that network and everything is good. I was just about to replace the VCM module as you were, I am looking forward to see how this worked out for you.
I would use the newest verstion on the Admin CD not the one on the CCC CD. With the pain level that CCC operates at you want to use the newest version of components. Newer with CCC/Delt= less bugs.
Well SIP setup takes a little getting used to but after you do your first one, it is pretty easy. If you are using the Hitachi phone ShoreTel has some good documents. Either way you can use the documents and figure the phones out. If you have any questions drop me a line.
No trunks and analog extensions both count. You can get around the 5/1 ratio with analog ports by using a SIP ATA device. There are a couple that are certified with ShoreTel. You get 4 analog ports via SIP for every 1 port.
