Out of curiosity I called the 800 number I saw on a data sheet from the Premier Technologies in Long Lake, MN and got an autoattendant greeting from a company called Solutions on Hold (https://sohinc.com). They look to be the descendant of Premier Technologies since they still sell an on hold...
That looks to be a different Premier Technologies with no related products now or in its history. The one that made the box was based in Long Lake, Minnesota and seems to be out of business. Its URL (www.premtech.com) leads to a 403 forbidden page.
A bit unclear. Are you asking what other things the tool can be used for beyond its intended purposes, or are you asking about how the tool should be used for its intended purpose of jack removal (CommScope does have usage instruction documentation)?
Wondering if you have the security code for the device? If you do, have you tried to play around with the device a bit, since it provides verbal prompting? Maybe connect a phone to the port shown on the datasheet and see what the mode button (switch?) does. Of course, if you don't have the...

If the answer is correct, it looks like you might not be able to do that type of programming from a phone, but will need the "VMMI" application. Assuming that you can get...
There isn't a standard for distinguishing among different categories of copper Ethernet cables by color. Fortunately, cable jackets are marked with the category class. (Fiber does have a standard.) However, there are recommendations for color coding by function/application (see e.g. ANSI/TIA-606...
Using CCA cable is no small issue. The short length is likely the only reason it's working to some extent. It's not just the higher resistance of the wire, attenuation (much higher) and other (of the many) Cat 6 parameters will be off. For PoE, aside from absolute resistance, the Cat 6...
The cable you used is copper clad aluminum (per the description on the Amazon URL), not solid copper as required for a legitimate Cat 6 cable. It won't meet Cat 6 specifications. You need to get a real Cat 6 cable.
It was surprising to see that the cable was identified as copper clad aluminum...
You say that only one extension is involved. What is the extension number? Something that wasn't quite clear from your post - is it only Fax and that automated security call that occasionally end up in the internal voicemail of that extension, or is it also getting occasional real voice...
I believe that for the HT81x family manual setup (static IP option rather than default DHCP) is required to access the setting and change the VLAN. Check the administration guide to confirm.
When used between extensions on a phone system it's often called a "hotline" (or "internal hotline"). Check your system's programming/administration manual.
Ringdown circuits are common in financial trading companies and some security scenarios, and do involve outside trunks (generally all...

LOL - Have mercy guys [wink]
fast078: Unless you identify your system and provide relevant configuration details, no one can help you. You'll only get answers as (in)comprehensible as your question.
If you don't receive responses here, you might want to try the Samsung telephone systems forum on Sundance at:
