I was getting low on space on my primary partition, so I created a new partition for data (including the page file). I would like to move my SQL databases over as well. Can someone provide detailed instructions and what problems could occur? Thanks.

Thanks all for all of the help. It is fianlly working. The last couple of pieces were a box I forget to check in the McAfee Firewall, and allowing Popups and cookies in IE for the RWW website on the PC I am testing from.
I am running McAfee Total Protection for Small Business Advanced which includes Managed Desktop Firewall on a server running SBS 2003. It appears that the firewall is blocking Remote Web Workplace from working. The correct ports are open on the router and I can ping the address, but the web...
Can you please explain? isn't it a problem that the tracert ends up at mail.domain.com? If I turn off the firewall it still does not work. Could it be a certificate issue?
Here is a summary of setup:
DSL connection
One NIC behind router
Opened ports on router
Domain is registered w/ Network...
Help! I am new to DNS. I have a server running SBS 2003. I have static IP and registered a domain name. I have a website that is hosted by a 3rd party (not ISP), who is also providing email. We are running McAfee Total Protection for Small Business, so the MX records point to them to scan...
Ok. Thanks. I have set up an A record for remote, am I missing a PTR record? What should the corresponding PTR record be? Does it matter that a 3rd party is hosting my website and email and that the email is scanned by another party (MX records to go there and the party sends them back)...
I did have someone else look at my setup, and he could not see any problems (although he admitted he is a little rusty in this area). We did find a slight problem with the DNS zone file that we fixed. From outside the network I can ping remote.domain.com but when I enter that in a web browser...
Oops, sorry I forgot to answer you Mark.
I have edited my zone file to have remote.domain.com pointing to the public IP
I did make sure I opened port 80 for both TCP and UDP on the router.
Yes, I ran CEICW.
When I try telnet to IP on port 80, I get
"Could not open connection to the host, on...
I posted twice because no one responded, and my question changed slightly.
Yes, I forwarded the ports to the internal ip of the server.
RWW now works from within the network using remote.domain.com/remote
BUT still can not get it to work outside the network.
I followed the instructions in SBS help to enable RWW. Since I have the website hosted by a third party, I try to access RWW using the IP address (xx.xxx.xxx.x/remote). I get the "Page cannot be displayed". I can connect from within the network using servername/remote. I have checked that I...
HELP! I was re-running the CEICW today, just to look at the setup because the Remote Web Workplace is not working. I ended up not making any changes. The server had downloaded it's auto updates, so I let the server restart this afternoon -- everything appeared fine on restart. I got a call...
I opened all of the ports you listed on my router -- is there something I need to do on the server? I am using McAfee Total Protection for Small Business -- could this be affecting it? thanks.
Ok. I tried accessing internally. I am able to access only if I use https://servername/remote--I cannot access if I use the IP address. What does this mean?
I followed the instructions in SBS help to enable RWW. Since I have the website hosted by a third party, I try to access RWW using the IP address (xx.xxx.xxx.x/remote). I get the "Page cannot be displayed". Can someone point me in the right direction of what I need to check to resolve this...
I have set up a website for my brother's vet practice. I have a prescription refill form that I would like to save the results and have emailed to a mailbox I setup just for the pharmacy. I have followed all the instructions from all of the FrontPage tutorials I could find on this. When I...
I looked up info on MX, NS, and A records. The MX records match what I previously reported, and one A record matches what I expected. I think the NS records are ok, but what about the other 2 A records?
