    Hi Gaz If it's not due to a hardware fault check that autoshutdown isn't enabled. The daemon is powerd The configuration file is power.conf power.conf may be set to 'autoshutdown' instead of 'noshutdown', you can change this and then run pmconfig to read the power.conf file. Worth checking.

    Hi - sounds like the cd is not bootable for some reason, maybe it's because the Solaris 10 cd is actually a DVD and the drive in the server is only a cd drive (ie. it can't read DVD's). Worth checking.

    Hi - I might be misseing the point here when you say "really reset an RSC card" but..... login into the rsc port on the rsc card user login is 'rscdam' (you might need a password) type 'resetrc' ....will reset the rsc card. Hope this helps.

    Sorry, Sorry, Sorry - IGNORE the last post! Slot 3 on the Ultra80 = 33Mhz only 32/64bit 5volt. You card may be a 66Mz card. Laytrotter.

    Is it a module failure or does it ust need a re-seat. Mark the suspect module and then swap it with another module in a different slot. See what happens.
