When running the install and error is generated basically instructing me to upgrade my Microsoft Imstaller to a version and Service Pack that is compatabile.

Not life threatening but any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
Dave.
Hi,
Microsoft's kb article about how to configure Exchange 5.5 to display a disclaimer on all outgoing mail (imsext.dll) has one major flaw - it allows relaying and actually disables the configuration pages that would allow you to prevent relaying. This essentially makes is unusable, so...

Thanks for your reply - sadly this does not work. All the browsers concerned are Internet Explorer and we are getting the same problem on some instances of version 5.0 and version 6. e.g. I am on version 6 and it's fine but a colleague who is also on version is having the problem.
Very strange...

Can anyone tell me if/how I can install or configure the administrator console on a few PCs so we can use the SMS info without having to jump on the server? Note: Our local domain, although on the same LAN is in a different Windows 2000 domain.
thanks for any tips,
Dave
I have an SMS hierachy which essentially consists of one Primary Site and 15 secondary sites.
The secondary sites are all connected via 128k leased lines so day-time bandwidth is a large consideration. I guess the clients are going to have to be discovered during the day (i.e. whilst they are...
I have the same issue with the client PCs discovered having a status of "No".
Is it possible to use the login script to get users to run the smsman.exe when they log in if you use the command:

(the /q runs it in quiet mode so no user intervention is required)
I might try...
