The issue is not with the wire not being twisted. It is under 50ft.
As in a reply early on, is the copper wiring solid or twisted? Each needs to have a specific RJ45 crimp end.
Have you tested to see if the cable is crimped correctly. Try a loopback plug in each device and see if the NIC cards...

I would like to set up a VPN through 2 linksys routers, both have vpn capabilities.
Basically I want to vpn/link two xbox 360's together through the routers.

Thank you guys. I actually get it now. Its like using the same area code within a given area, but using the translations within the switch to direct the calls, for either area A or area B.

Well, I am trying the labs that came with the Cisco CCNA book (Boson) and the labs on free-labs.com and I guess I need the line by line solution to each problem. More so I know why I am doing what I am doing, then how to do it.

I have a customer who called last night that explained that they have an external user/hacker, that is pinging their system. I want to know if that ping will show in the DSL Gateway log? Or is there a program that I can run to id the ip address?
