I suspect the *.wmi is created with the internal ACT word processor. Somehow the dll associated with this processor is not registered in the registry, and so when i click on that type of extension nothing happens. When I try and associate it with ACT as a whole, same thing -- no response.

I store emails as attachements to my ACT contacts. When i try to open such an email from inside the contact, it does not open the ACT word processor. The file is *.wmi and I associated it with ACT, but still no luck.
I have not been able to locate the default EmailBody template used by ACT! 9. Or is it another name? I use the Act wordprocessor. Where should i look, and what is its name?
I do not disagree with your anger at MS. However, the reality is that Office 2007 is a positive improvement over 2003, and if ACT is to stay in the market, they need to keep up with the marketplace.
