ianuk1974,
Thanks again for your help. I've been reading throughout my Mitel documentation too, and it seems that the VoIP stuff is basically broken down into 2 parts:
a) voice traffic which is UDP
b) and call signaling which is TCP
From what I gathered, the voice traffic ports are probably...
Thanks for everyone's responses so far, but I still need a clear and definitive answer for #2. Just as Mitelpassion pointed out, the signaling ports are TCP, NOT UDP like the Mitel guy suggested. In other words, the ports for call signaling are not 9000 and 9002.
I actually got a hold of my Mitel support guy and he tole me:
1) RTP traffic port range is 50000-50127.
2) Call signaling ports are 9000 and 90002.
I didn't catch it earlier, but the Cisco guy said the call signaling ports were TCP, but the Mitel guy gave me UDP answers?!?!
We are currently piloting Mitel's VoIP solution at my work, and the Cisco TAC guy is asking me a few questions in order to configure some type of QoS support. Can anyone help me out?
1) Which UDP ports do the Mitel VOIP phone use for voice (rtp) traffic?
2) Which TCP ports are used for call...
