Got it fixed - The old hard drive was a 2.0 and was upgraded to a 3.0 - When I replaced the drive I ordered a 3.0 drive - Somehow the OS upgrade code caused that license key not to work -- I don't agree with this, but I already had a spare 6.0 chassis with no licenses at all on it, so i just...
I just replaced the drive in a BCM50 (both are at the same version) - However the license key will not load (no error messages either). I think this may be because the old key started with a sequence of 4, and the new OS shows sequence 0. I tried changing this to 1 and renaming the file to...
I had the HD on a BCM50 die; I have since replaced it and everything is running BUT I cannot restore my backup - Once the TAR file has uploaded I get the error: Error happened. Error Detail: Version Mismatch
I am assuming that this is due to the patch level on the new HD being different than...
Thanks for the input guys!!
I actually figured this out -- I 'thought' we initialized the mailboxes when we logged in and recorded the name -- Turns out you have to go into the mailbox admin and change the password to something that does not begin with 0 -- as soon as we did that, it worked fine..
I am having some issues with activating my skillsets in a new install of CC -- Everything seems to be setup, but when I click 'enable' I get the error: 'This skillset's mailbox has not been initialized, Could not enable skillset"
I have infact initialized the mailbox by recording a general name...
It was a BCM software issue, updated it and it came right up -- BTW, The account I was using to login to PIC was a sales account, not technical...
thanks!!
I cant find any firmware on Nortels site (in the PIC) -- I have looked under: Home > Technical Support > Voice, Multimedia & Unified Communications > Business Communications Manager 200
And the only s/w releases are related to the BCM Element Manager???
I've got 4.0 -- When I login at the 'login as:' prompt, i type in nnadmin -- Then it waits afew seconds and I get the Putty error: 'Disconnected: No supported authentication methods available' before I can even put in the password.
Running 4.0 (4.0.2.03)
In the IP documentation it said something about having to go into LD 11 - I have figured out what that is, but getting into it is a different story..do I in fact need to make changes in here?
I have connected to my BCM using rLogin -- How do I actually login? The default password has not been changed (0000), but I dont know what the username is -- Nortel's docs arn't much help!!
Thanks

I have a BCM200 with a 1140 set -- The set works fine, but when I attach the KIM, it lights up but only displays the firmware (i00v142 v115), the phone functions as it should -- They have f/w 0625c1h -- This is the only 1100 series IP set on the network, the 2000 series set and KIM work fine
I have an issue with a client -- They want to be able to transfer a call to an extension and if that extension does not answer, or is on DND, it go to their voicemail. Right now, the calls that are not answered go to VM, but if the set is on DND the call comes back to the set where it was...
I am trying to setup our BCM 200 to allow the people within the office to make an intercom call the comes across the speaker of the phone -- I know how to use the Feature 66 to make the call, but I would like to set the default for internal calls to be voice calls (not to ring the desk) -- Any...
I have 4 lines on a BCM400 -- The first two go to a hunt group then go to AA if not answered (which works fine...although I do not know why since I have answer mode in AA set to NO and I d not hae the CP DN in the hunt group??) -- I want the second two to automaticaly be answered by the AA -- I...
I am still having an issue with a ip2002 phone where the party on the other end of the call (either in the office, or an outside call) has trouble hearing me -- Is there a way to increase the mic volume on the Ip sets?
Thanks
