XML-import: Add pages automatically upon overflow
InFlow from www.emsoftware.com seems to work in my XML-flow! BUT it is not for free... I also tried EasyFlow from 65bit Software Ltd, but the plug-in added 6500 pages (when 4 were needed) and made InDesign freeze...- McAnders

I'm using InDesign CS2 to create start lists for races. The "input" is XML generated from a database. A "virtual user" is used to control InDesign: Open the right template, mount the right XML-file, save ID-doc and generate PDF.
