Site-To-Site VPN Between Nokia Checkpoint R65 Firewalls

Hi, I managed to sort this one out... the issue was that under Global Properties/Firewall - Accept VPN-1 Power/UTM control connections was not selected. Once I selected this, it worked without any dramas. The annoying thing was that there was no error message to indicate this could be the problem.

Site-To-Site VPN Between Nokia Checkpoint R65 Firewalls

Hi, I seem to be having dramas setting up a site to site VPN between 2 Nokia Checkpoint firewalls running R65. The VPN is across a Private IP network. I am a newbie to Checkpoint, so it couldbe /probably is something simple, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. Summary of what I...

    SonicWall Global VPN Issues

Hi, I am having some troubles setting up the SonicWall Global VPN connectivity. I can connect ok to the LAN using the VPN client, but some traffic seems to be blocked/dropped. My WAN interface is X1 and my LAN is X0. My LAN is setup with a subnet of 172.16.0.1/24. My clients receive an IP...

    Call Transfer Issues In CME

Hi, This one is a really interesting one... I've setup the CME system in our office and everything seems to work ok except for this weird problem. If you try and transfer a call to another phone, and then decide to end that call because the other person is not picking up, and resume the...

    Call Park And Retrieval

Hi, I was wondering whether anyone had come across this problem before. I have created multiple park slots and am able to park calls successfully on an IP handset. But when I press the PickUp softkey and the '*' key on the handset from which I parked a call, I cannot retrieve the call. The...

    Management of wireless workgroup bridge

Hi, I have a question in regards to setting up a wireless workgroup bridge. The basic setup I have is a wireless AP with a management VLAN 100, and user VLAN 10, which is connected to the wired network. I wanted to setup a workgroup bridge so that I can get some clients without wireless cards...

    Configure Failover For Subinterfaces

Hi, I was wondering whether anyone knew how you can configure failover on subinterfaces. I only want failover to work if the physical interface goes down (I would think it would be impossible for the firewall to detect it the subinterface went down). For example, we have a DMZ interface...

    Cisco ASA IPS Issues

Hi, I am having some strange issues with my IPS modules (AIP-SSM-10) module in my ASA's. Basically, with the IPS enabled, a user can bring up a TCP-based Cisco VPN session, from the inside to outside, however when they try to RDP to a server , it won't connect. If I disable the IPS, it works...

    Cisco VPN MTU Issues

NetworkGhost, Thanks for the advice - the 'crypto ipsec df-bit clear-df' works perfectly. The funny thing was that the VPN hosts could access half the servers but not the other half - stupid Windows servers, probably wouldn't have happened if we used Unix. :P

    Cisco VPN MTU Issues

Hi, I am having issues with bringing up Cisco VPN sessions and I am sure that it is an MTU issue. We have successfully been using IPSec over UDP to a VPN Concentrator which has a DSL Internet connection, and it has been working over all types of connections (including DSL). We are now looking...

    Video Calls Between VPN Users

Ahhh, thanks for that - I hadn't permitted the intra interface communication. I assume this only applies to VPN users as per the description?

    Video Calls Between VPN Users

I forgot to mention, that I also tried the 'fixup protocol sip' command, but that actually stopped Microsoft Office Communicator working all together (i.e. from even logging into the server).

    Video Calls Between VPN Users

Hi, I was having some issues with Microsoft Office Communicator when connected on a VPN via a Cisco ASA. When 2 users try to start a voice or video session, the other user just sees a black screen. However, it works between user to user on the inside, and between an inside user and a VPN user...

    ASA VPN With NAT

Yeah, I figured out that there is no way around it. I have decided to use DNS to achieve this, and it seems to work ok.

How to Show MAC Address Tables on a Cisco 4006

    ASA VPN With NAT

Hi, I have a Cisco ASA 5520 setup with multiple outside interfaces (via a 802.1q trunk from a switch - i.e. I have created 1 subinterface per VLAN with the ASA routing between the VLANs) and I have users establish an IPSec tunnel over these subinterfaces using the Cisco VPN Client. At the...
