We do not hide ours but we do put a $ sign in front of the name to send admin mailboxes to the bottom of the alphabetical list in the NAB. eg: Gregory, Jim Whitehouse, Sarah Wilshire, Yvonne Yapp, Joanne $Administrators $Test Mailbox $Virus Alerts

We use Symantec Norton Anti Virus v3.0 for Domin / Notes (with live updates) and have now disabled it's "Scanning for email routing" option. This has so far fixed our problem!

The servers that mails are being sent to are outside of my control, they are other organisations servers. Another weird thing is that I can send a trace mail ok, but any normal mail will be returned. I think that it may be my SMTP configuration.

If you are using R5 how about also using rules on the client. However if you want to do it from the server end, we are using Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition as it also has filtering rules built in.
