Crop Marks add white border with export to pdf

Hello- I am trying to include crop marks on a jewel case insert when I export to pdf. Whenever I include the crop marks, however, it adds a large white border around the edges. Is there a way to get it to keep the background color and not the white border? I've tried bleeds, but that actually...

    Text flow question

Hello- I have a long paragrah of text that I have broken into a 2 column flow. Is there a way to tell InDesign where I would like it to flow to the next column? The only way I have found to do this so far is to adjust the height of the box. However, it is a long document (100+ pages) and...

    CMYK swatch changes to RGB

Thank you Andrew- I am using InDesign, and the swatch palette was definitely the way to go. I was double clicking on the fill square, and it altered the values. I have now used the swatch palette and the colors are behaving quite nicely. Much cleaner. Thanks for all your help! Mel

    CMYK swatch changes to RGB

I am using them as page backgrounds, so they are created by "add new cmyk swatch". When I check the colors by double clicking, the values have changed to the RGB version, which is close, but not right. Thanks for your help!

    CMYK swatch changes to RGB

Hello- I have specific CMYK values I'm trying to use in InDesign. When I add the CMYK swatch, the values change to RGB, so when I view the values in CMYK, they are not the same as originally specified. Is there a setting that I can set to specify CMYK for all parts of the document? All...

When convert to pdf, display bad- suggestions?

Thank you for the explanation. The text is part of the image. I will definitely have to evaluate the trade off on resolution vs size. 100 pages at 600 dpi would definitely get large. Thanks for the help!

When convert to pdf, display bad- suggestions?

The smallest font is 10 pt, most is larger. It doesn't need to be legible, just not sloppy looking, if that makes sense. Thanks for your help!

When convert to pdf, display bad- suggestions?

Thanks for the post- the dimensions are: 612 pt x 792 pt. I can make them look a little better by increasing resolution in page display in adobe acrobat, but it still does not look very good. Am I just dealing with too much information on the maps to look good at full page view? Thanks!

When convert to pdf, display bad- suggestions?

Hello- I am working on a series of maps that will be primarily viewed on computers. There will be a very limited printing, so I have initially been saving as press quality. When I convert my .indd to pdf (having tried various presets), the text is blurry until you zoom in really close. There...

AI file loses resolution when placed InDesign

Hello- I have a file created in AI that contains numerous layers (polygon, line and text created in ArcGIS, saved separately as AI files in Arc and layered into one AI document). The text and graphics look perfect in Illustrator. When I place the files in my InDesign document, the resolution...
