A quick check on http://www.crucial.com should determine if you are using the right memory. Get on there and enter the details of your computer. They will display the specs you need. Hope this helps.
Have you tried a KVM? There are quite a few for under 100 that might do the trick. I use it to monitor a few systems at work. I know there was one at best buy that ran about 50 bucks.
