If you are trying to use the system as a router, you need to check the "Enable IP Forwarding" box on the Routing section of the TCP/IP protocol properties.

I had a similar problem where I was trying to connect to an SQL database that had a space in the database name. SQL server lets you create one, but VI and VB do not talk to it properly. <br>
