    CLAN on a G3 V8i

    Complete waste. Sorry!

    CLAN on a G3 V8i

You can add a CLAN to a V8 switch, but it has very limited functionality. The only thing I was able to use it for on 8 was IP connectivity to Audix. You cannot do SAT services or anything like that until Rel 9. Sorry, I don't recall the commands for 8 as that was 3-4 years ago. You may also be...

    S8300LSP/G700 Reset System 4 - Network Region

I agree that it's the default setting, I was just wondering what the logic behind that was. We have multiple LSPs hanging off couple of S8700's. When all resources, such as the LSPs, use the same network region you end up with the potential for network resource sharing. This is what we are...

    S8300LSP/G700 Reset System 4 - Network Region

Just curious if anyone can answer why the Network Region of the PROCR in an S8300 defaults back to 1 after a Reset System 4. We have multiple S8300LSPs that are in different network regions. After a system reboot, which happens twice a day with translation file updates, the PROCR network...

    911 Not showing in CDR

I've searched for any variation of as well as the originating station that placed a 3rd (test) call to 911. Still no entry....

    911 Not showing in CDR

I do now have a crss-alert button, but again as you implied, it's a little too late. With regards to the CDR system statement, it doesn't appear to be related to that. The information I gather comes directly from the raw text that is compiled from the CDR output. Of three total calls to 911...

    911 Not showing in CDR

I had someone place two calls to 911 and hang-up this morning. Although it's nice to have a visit from your local law enforcement we feel it's not necessary! :-) I checked my CDR reports and there are no entries for the calls. Does anyone know the logic or reason behind emergency calls not...

    AT&T Takeback and Transfer (TNT)

NJGuy, Thanks for the info. We actually successfully tested the service on Tuesday of this week. Because we are using AT&T in-band service the only option we had was to perform this with an annoucement, and it worked wonderfully. Here is a wonderful reference for anyone else who is looking...

    AT&T Takeback and Transfer (TNT)

We are looking to implement AT&T Takeback and Transfer. We are being told by AT&T that we will need to out pulse a call with *t proceeding a toll free #?? The 'Inserted Digits' portion of the route will not allow a '*t'. My service with AT&T is ISDN-PRI. I've got a G3R 9.5. If you are using...

    CMS Dictionary Table

Does anyone know what table in CMS the Dictionary terms are stored? I'm looking for the actual table and not instructions on how to open the dictionary in Supervisor :-) I'm looking to do a mass update on all of the dictionary items and can't fathom the idea of doing it one at a time in...

    Making calls to other branches

This can be done through UDP. Essentially you would create a UDP code in AAR that points to a route-specific route table(s) that insert the digits required. You would need a unique UDP code for each unique dial string. Hope this helps!

    CMS user rights

That was my original approach but there is a limit to the amount of VDNs that can be added that way (65 at a time). In addition, it only includes the VDNs that are in the dictionary. To make matters even worse, we have in excess of 400 VDNs and it is quite hit-and-miss between different...

    CMS user rights

Is there an easy way to assign the same user rights from an existing user to a new user? Kind of like a dup command or copy command. I'm trying to avoid having to input 379 individual VDN's for each person I'm adding. My system is CMS R3V9. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ryan

    Harassing Phone Calls

I have a user who is receiving hang-up calls from outside our facility. We have PRI but the calling ID is blocked so we can not identify the call. Does anyone have any suggestions for intercepting or blocking 'blocked' calls? MCT does nothing for us and of course CDR doesn't have the info as...

    WinSPM Password Programming in Legend

I'm new to the Legend system and am trying to access a V4.0 through WinSPM (v3.0). I connect to the processor's modem via *10, but when it asks for the password I cannot get in. This is a system that has been a test unit for several years and no one knows anything about it. I can program...

    BCMS Data Module not working

I realize that your problem is solved but wanted to offer my quick-fix solution to others as well. When the bcms-vu shows 'error 7109 - Could not Communicate With Device' all you have to do is connect to the data module through Hyperterm and issue the following command at&f That's it! It...

    Isdn pri assitance

Check the country protocol and version on the DS1 configuration. By default the country protocol is 1 (correct) and version is a. Change the protocol version to b (NI2) and this should hopefully resolve the issue. This is what I had to do to fix the exact same problem. Give it a try, it...
