I totally agree and discourage anyone going this root. I guess with us it was a question of trying to improve accpac response time as it was very slow. However, running programs local means more work as any upgrades will need to be done on the respective machines as well. Dirty Work!!
thanks
Guys We managed to sort out the problem. We cleared all 2010 fiscal sets that the system was able to create from the GLAFS table and re-created the year again. The errors We previously encountered when creating the year was due to the fact that the machine where this was being done had programs...
Hi guys,We using 5.3B and have a problem posting to a new year(2010) that was created on the 1st of April. i get this error, "Damaged data. Fiscal set 2010 LSL not found for account 5831COIAH."
What I have realised is that some errors did come when we created the year in GL, one of them was...
Guys I really don't know whats happening to our system, What I have learned is that with almost all of those batches, there were no entries for them in table GLJEH but they had entries in table GLJED and GLBCTL. We managed to find a backup which had entries for those batches in table GLJEH and...
The reason for being interested is because this year has not been reported on yet as it has not been closed. What I have noticed with these batches is that some of them have those details in both tables GLPOST and GLJED while others only have details in the GLJED table.
If someone did clear history (either intensionally/mistakenly), is there an alternative way of being able to access the batches except database restore?
I thought if someone cleared GL history then the batches won't even be listed on the batch list? in our case, those batches still appear on the batch list with batch totals and number of entries, the only problem is that some of them we are able to open but cannot access the entries and some We...
We are on 5.3B and we are planning to upgrade to 5.5 in April. The last upgrade was back in 2005 when we moved from the DOS based ACCPAC to the one we are currently on. Whats puzzling is that the users say they were still able to access the batches on Last friday.
Hi guys,
I have a huge problem with my GL batches which come from the sub-ledgers. Some batches appear as if they have entries but when you open the batch, there are no entries though the batch still displays a total. Some of the batches I cannot even open them, i get a message saying "No data...
Hi guys,
We held training at our offices two months back and installed 10 temporary accpac Lanpaks to help us not interfere with the live environment Lanpaks. The thinking was that after training, those Lanpaks will be uninstalled but We have struggled with that and now they have expired. We...

Hi everyone,
I have an Item that I have to change its unit of measure from "each" to "meter". My problem is that there is still quantity on hand in the stores for this item and it has been used in purchase orders with this old unit of measure. What is the best possible way of acheiving my goal...
Hi all,
We are currently experiencing problems with our cashbook module in accpac, In ACCPAC we are in fiscal calendar 2009 which started in April 2008(period 1) but when reversing transactions in Cashbook, they fail because it says fiscal periods are locked in fiscal year 2008 which is indeed...
