    Count Records with Formatted Year

Thanks for each of your replies. PHV: I replaced the contents as you suggested and the end result was that in all the records of Query A, the year stated 1905 and Query B had four groups of 1905 since my data covered years 2002 through 2005. Golom: I replaced Query B with your suggestions and...

    Count Records with Formatted Year

In the SQL below of my query A, qryIncident Master File, the field “[DOIYear]” is formatted as “yyyy” to give me the correct Year. I want another query B to sum the total number of incidents grouped by Year, [DOIYear]. I can’t get the grouped query to work properly; it will group the year and...

    Switchboard Remains in Front

Yes Ken, I changed the Auto Center to Yes and left the Auto Resize at No on one of the Reports and it is now Centered when the button is pressed. For each of the 10 reports I individually made the changes. It works. I thought there would have been a code to cover all reports. ZmrAbdulla. I...

Thank you. I changed the Popup to No and Modal was set to No. It works fine. A question though, and I'm not sure if this should be a new thread, however it is related. When I press any of the Switchboard buttons for reports, the reports are displayed in front, however they are displayed at...

Email Selected Report using Email Address

The below coding was graciously provided by OnTheFly and PHV. As I open “frmList of Individuals” which has a subform “frmAppointments”, I press the cmdPrint Current Record, it prints the selected “rptAppointment Letter” using the [ApptID] field, then closes “frmList of Individuals”. This works...

    Print Selected Record via Form

Yes, OnTheFly, [ApptID#] was the name of the field being used. Per your suggestion, I delected all "#" symbols and Yes, the coding works just fine. Yes, PHV, before deleting the # symbols, I closed each occurrence with [ ] and that also worked. Thanks both of you for your professional responses.

    Print Selected Record via Form

Thanks for the reply. I created the “rptAppointment Letter”. The record source “qryList of Individuals w/Appointment Dates” has the [ApptID#]. I placed the coding below to the OnClick event of the Command Button of the “frmList of Individuals”. However, when I press the CmdButton, the...

    Displaying Multiple Listings in Columns

In addition to the above, I looked at the design of the Northwind Samples database: Products by Category report, and see that they have only a CategoryName Footer, not a Report Footer.

    Displaying Multiple Listings in Columns

Yes, thank you Remou and Trevil for your response. I followed your suggestions and was able to get my 3 fields into 3 sets of columns on my report. A question: Is there a way to limit the size of the Detail in how many records are displayed in each column, that is to have each set of columns...

Splitting Contents of a Text Field

PH, thank you very much for your response. I can see that you are well above my knowledge of VBA and MS Access. I must say though I don’t use VBA, I’m learning though. However, I would like to ask where would I place this coding in my database? The field [Name] in the tblMFS Master Data List...

Creating a PopUp before using the Switchboard

Kzutter Thank you for your response. Your MsgBox solution works great in the OnLoad Event of the Switchboard. I had previously created a PopUp form and wasn’t sure where to place it; I have now placed it in the OnLoad Event and that is what I was looking for. Ken S. I did go to the...

My database is opened via a password and then the Switchboard is in view. Prior to entering any of the menus and as the database opens, I would like to have a PopUp dialog box appear. This PopUp box will provide a warning statement, which has to be read, and then press the “close” button on...

Dual Password for a Separate Sub-Switchboard

Thank you Mike for your much "detailed" suggestions. I will go through this in detail to understand all the options and try to put it to work. Again thanks for your responsiveness.

Dual Password for a Separate Sub-Switchboard

Thank you for the initial response. I am not an experienced VBA code user. Is it possible to provide a sample of what the code behind the switchboard would be? Maybe there is already a sample db that has this coding; if possible, would you know of that link? Thanks very much.
