Dudes, i got a way out for thios problm.. i simply copied ORANT folder (oracle directory) from another client and pasted in to this PC and changed the paths accordingly... its working fine now... probably some corrupt files could be the reason...?!!!! Thanks anyways for the support. Best Regards

LKBrwnDBA, pardon me if i sound Dumb...infact i had tried to figure out the log file in Oracle Directory couldnt find it.Where do i get the Error Log file saved? Tried a windows search for *.log and still couldnt manage to get hold of it....:-( best regards
