from what i can see around here...it does not get any better than having "oldnewbie" on the case! i am standing down. hey oldnewbie, never heard of hitTest. sounds cool. more info please (i have been using a movie clip instance to accomplish shading) thanks- mface

Page looks great do not understand what you mean by "assigns the button to the rollover and not the specific pic" the pic needs to be the button- if the "rollover" is a movie clip, then open the clip from the library and insert/convert the pic there.... which link is the problem? it is hard...- mface

image linking should be fairly straight forward have you converted your image to a button symbol? can you post URL where questionable behaviour can be seen?- mface
