Is it possible to automatically take an auto incremented primary key, concat a prefix and place it into another column of the same table?
I know this can be achieved in MS SQL using the Formula field in the Enterprise manager but I'm wondering if there's a similar way in MySQL.
Thanks,
Dave
Declare your arrays as Global either in NewReportApp or in a bas file. Then it's simply array(i, 0) = Data, array(i, 1) = Data, i = i + 1. Make sure i is also a global var.
This is basic array stuff so there's tons of ref's online.

Actuate isn't all that awkward, just like any other programing language it has it's quirks. The issue you're having sounds like a cookie issue, are you sure you are setting the cookie in the first browser control?

Hi group,
I'm creating a db in which I want my clients to be able to only input records and not browse them. The problem is when I go to the "Privileges" section I can't seem to disable the box, "Browse Records". No matter what combination I try, I always end with my clients able to browse...
Hi all,

I have a win98 system that i'm trying to prevent users from installings programs (either d/l'ed or from media). Has anyone got a poledit...
To clarify:
I am looking for any studies done on the "usability" of software, and in particular databases and interfaces developed in FileMaker. What I mean by usability is:
-how well do users react to the software (ie, layout)?
-is the software user friendly (ie, intuitive)...
Hi group!
I was wondering if anyone has come across any references to usability studies (online or otherwise).I've developed an application that runs within FileMaker Pro 5.0 and as such, my analysis of the "usability" of the application will be influenced by FileMaker.
Thanks,
Dave
One way I've discovered is using the ". command". Let's say the name of the script is bye, then the command would look like:
$. bye
The dot command executes the script in the current shell without spawning a child process. Still not exactly what I'm looking for....

The LiveEval CD is a way to run SuSE8.0 without installing onto your harddrive. You can't really "install" anything. The CD loads, and it loads a nice Linux kernel and then the OS is ran off the CD.

thanks for the replies...what i was looking for was in /var/log/messages. I believe that I also read somewhere that failed login attempts only gets logged after 5 failed tries. Is there a way to change this value, say to 2 or 3?
