ok it is solved i had to partition the drive apperanltly and in the process assighn a letter to the drive and then get it formatted whanks to all the people who help others out where i was able to get enough info to solve the prob!- lotusdog

i have windows 2000 just got a western digital 250gb SATA and an irocks hdd SATA to USB enclosure. the recomended driver will not work says there is an error of not specifying a device used the USB mass storage devie driver that windows forund and had a successful install. but no usb device or...- lotusdog
