Thank you all for your responses. I was able to install the application server on an Intel powered ESX 4.1 host. CentOS 5.5 has compatibility problems with AMD® Opteron® 6100 Series processors.
There seems to be a compatibility problem with Cent OS 5 and AMD CPUs. I am using an HP DL385 G7 server with VMWare ESX 4.1. I will try installing on an server with an Intel CPU and report back.
I am using ESX 4.1. Selected CentOS 4/5 32-bit option. Mounted the ISO image. The installation program starts automatically. Next, I get a solid white cursor. The installation gets stuck at that point.
Anyone know the trick to install the IP Office Application Server 6.1.22 Linux appliance on VMWare? I know it is not supported. However, I heard that it works very well on VMWare. When I boot the installation CD in a VWare virtual machine it crashes during installation.

We restored our VMPRO 4 and the auto-attendant worked again.
Thank you for your replies. Is there a way to configure the Avaya IP office system to accept Norstar DTMF tones? We are not about to call our clients to tell them to reconfigure their Nortar PBXs just because we purchased an Avaya IP Office system.
Thanks for your reply. I brought our old Avaya Partner system back online, and had our client call in using their Nortar PBX. They were able to navigate the autoattendant menu using DTMF tones. Then, I switched our phone lines to the Avaya IP office system, and had our client call. The Avaya...
Callers using Nortar PBXs are not able to navigate our Avaya IP Office automated attendant menu. Avaya IP office disregards all DTMF tones from Nortar PBXs. Does Anyone now if there is a fix for this issue?
We have background noise on all calls between extensions and inbound/outbound calls. This background noise is present on all digital and IP hard/soft phones.
It would appear that the noise comes from the pbx. How do you solve this issue?
We are using a IP406v2 v3.1(56) not grounded with...
