diogenes10, I do have the right file association in Windows and Acrobat Reader opens the files when using Explorer. It's the Firefox plugin that chooses Adobe Acrobat.

No. The only workaround I have is to open Acrobat Reader before opening a .pdf in Firefox to keep the full version of Adobe Acrobat from starting. It's not a problem when in Windows Explorer, only my browser. One thing I haven't tried is uninstalling both Adobe Acrobat and Acrobat Reader and...
