To my knowledge the winview client only works with internet explorer 6 for the Business object infoview tab.
Furthermore parts of Winview are still written in Delphi 3. Ellipse 6.x might have the newer components but we are not using this at the moment.

Ellipse 6 no longer uses com objects on windows. this means that you can move the software after installing and everything will keep working (in theory). Ellipse 6 portal is written in the latest delphi version and if compiled correctly capable to run native on linux.
