hi All, I'm stressing out! i just found out after talking with my client, that the manual I'm desiging in Indesign CS2 needs auto numbering for the Unit numbers and it's sub numbers.
example:
Unit 2
2.1
2.1.1
2.2.1.A
So if they need to change/add any of the sub unit numbers, the...
well, it looks like adobe is not offering a download version, they now require a form filled out and a DVD will be sent in 2-4 weeks! I need it now! I have a client job that needs to be done in Indesign CS2.
I wanted to upgrade from CS to CS2, but when I bought the upgrade, the system requirments says required processor to be G4 or G5, and I'm still on a G3. Has anyone tried and successfully run CS2 on a Powerpc G3?
my g3 has:
350 mhz processor
896mb ram
80g sata HD
well, it's not really supposed to be looking like it's centered. It's supposed to be right justified so that the dots after the numbers line up. Would I just use the right justified tab instead of the center tab?
The training manual I'm doing has lots of "figures" to show screen captures, etc... So each image/screen capture will have to have a "figure x. text description here." So can Indesign track the numbers used in the figure text box so that if I need to add another figure, the figure #...
Is there a way to set up a Paragraph style or anything that will do auto numbering in list format, like Word does, when you type number 1 and text after it and hit return and it automatically turns to #2 in a list format. Here's what i'm talking about below:
