The actual problem is a bad response time on the qfe interfaces.
When I connect a Mac-Workstation to the hme0 interfaces it will process a (serverbased) file 10 times faster than it does it on one of the qfe Interfaces.

I'm having problems with an ethernet interface and noticed many ierrors, but no oerrors or collisions.

I thing it's a Word problem. Chinese Fonts requires two byte coding. Even when the macOS supports 2 byte coding, the application also has to support it.
In the past, there were special programversions available, al least for the Japanese Kanji Fonts.
I have the same problem (I think).
"traceroute servername" doesn't work, but "traceroute -I servername" does!
