I'd like to program an application whereby I don't use the standard windows window. Basically I'd like to give the window it's own skin/shape, a bit like when you put windows media player into skin mode rather than full mode. How would I go about doing this?
Thanks for your time
Using DirectX 9 can I/how would I go about creating an application but without the standard windows window? For example how could I create an app with a different shape like when you are using windows meda player and you can change it's skin to a different shape. Thanks for your time.

Thanks
