    Want to change Domain Names

    I just started with a company, they have a domain called ex:domain-1. We were told we should change to domain-1.com. Do I need to create a new Domain and migrat or can I change it in AD and be just fine?

    Switching to native mode with one DC off line

    There is no more NT machines on the domain just 2 win 98 machines that use an old dos program that I am told by my Lead admin that it will not work in 2k or xp. I should be able to run the AD Client on the 98 machines.

    My company wants to switch to win2k native but is afraid of AD messing up. So they want me to pull one DC off line switch to native mode if it works bring the other DC on line. Will bringing the 2nd DC on line that is still mixed mode get replicated to native mode or will it case problems? Thanks
