thank you ZmrAbdulla, but you need to dumb it down for me as i am new to visual basic; i don't know how to access Visual Basic properly. i went in and changed the OnOpen Event Procedure and changed it like you said to Event DoCmd.Maximize, but i was told that this was not set up or recognized...- molltrotty
