    Wayne, thank you for the tip. Since I'm not that confident when it comes to playing with the wires, I was hoping there was a command to program the phone/station to retain its extension, similar to what you can do with the Nortel system.

    I have the NEC Dterm Series E phones, and I need to move a phone from one room to another and keep the same extension number and settings on that phone. I would appreciate the commands that would allow me to do this. Thank you.
