I figured it guys, it was the Upper Filters and Lower Filters in that Registry Folder that I had to delete, then rebooted and voila!

First off, I'm running a EVGA 680i SLI motherboard and my system has been running fine lately, no trouble at all with it. Just today I run into a problem with my two CD/DVD drives. Neither of them show in "My Computer". I look in my device manager and it has a yellow triangle with ! inside so...
I have discovered that my IE runs ALOT faster than my firefox....so maybe i'm thinkin it is the program, but I've reinstalled firefox multiple times and still no luck....
Also, I still get hung up with IE SOMETIMES. I'm thinking maybe its a RAM problem, but I wouldn't know where to begin with...
well i tried CC cleaner. It seems to have helped some, but I still get hung up on video and pages with alot of pictures...
still curious how to get my shit back to normal...thinking of a system restore

So how do i do all that you just said? And how do i know which DNS to add?
I changed a few things with my Spybot S&D and it got a bit better but it still hiccups alot when I try to look at pages that have embedded video or some pictures (ie. myspace)

If I buy a Vga that is DX10 compatible, would I be able to use it on my XP equipped computer? Thanks!
The only dumb question is a question not asked.

I really like my heatsink and fan, threw out the stock cooler a long time ago...
Maybe I'll upgrade on that again soon.

Like I said not having any problems, just wondering.
Right now I have a 3 or 4 year old P4 3.6. Its a single core, and I plan on gettin a new one soon but again I was just wondering.
Under almost no load (browser, 2 IM programs, anti-virus...the regulars) N-tune tells me my CPU fan is at 55C...
Hey just wondering some ways to lower my CPU temps, I already bought the good thermal paste and applied it correctly (per the instructions) I was wondering if altering voltages might lower the temp a bit. If there are any other ways please let me know. Im not having any problems just looking...
Dunno what I did differently this time as from last time I hooked DVI up alone, but its working. I unhooked S-vid and VGA, left in the DVI and restarted and it worked......

THanks alot you all!

Yes I have the correct cables. With my old viewsonic I had both VGA and DVI hooked up at the same time and it ran through DVI on its own (I'm assuming) I've tried DVI alone too and didn't work.
The DVI just wont work, I mean i have enough knowledge to know how to get the necessary equipment...
okay it does support 1920x1200. I set a lower res. and then tried DVI but to no avail. I'm gonna throw in a different card to see if its my monitor that isn't detecting the signal but I still think it's the card.
Thanks again!

i guess we'll see. think there is a chance its defective? also, any programs I could use to test my DVI out or use it for switching to DVI???
just trying to see if I have any options....thanks!

Also, my monitor is a Gateway. It is very new, 24" widescreen, running 1920x1200 res.
I've updated my drivers and everything else I could think of. If anyone could help me, that'd be great!

I am currently running an 8500GT by xFx on an EVGA 680i motherboard, and I have all the equipment required to run through DVI, but when I switch my monitor over through DVI it says there is no signal, i've reseated the card several times, and I've always handled it gently but it still wont work...
