If i go to "restore selections" i see no files and no subfolders twice. no i used ntbackup to back up on harddisk. we just received the tape as a replacement so it should be ok, yes i ran the tape tools after we received the device. no problems were shown. no there is no use of disk compression...

Hi, i have 2 jobs, 2nd appends to first, for two days now, the 2nd job fails with an error message that says "Error reported: Das Zeitlimit für die Semaphore wurde erreicht." which means "timelimit reached for the semaphore" whatever that means. can anybody help me with this issue?

first job does not eject! 2nd job it is set to append

another thing is that i created another media set, the first backup runs on the standard media set 1 the 2nd on the customize created media set. i thought that backup exec would create that way 2 data "files" that are independend, ok i will let it run again in append mode, lets pray o:) thx so far
