We have many filesystems that are full/nearly full. However our sysadmins say that they cannot extend the filesystem since they are striped.
Just wanted to know why the striped filesystems cannot extended?
Just to clarify - the files might be on /u02/oradata/prod1/temp01.dbf or /arch/oradata/prod1/arch01.dbf
I have the path to the file, but I just want to see where they are mounted could be /u02 or /u02/oradata.

May be - I will try that after some times since even the mirrored site has a problem when downloading the top command.
I have another system, can I just copy the top command into my server?
BTW, what kind of commands on solaris can just be copied from one system to another...
