    Many thanks I hadn't found the Transparency palette - now all is sheer difference joy. Also helps to ditch the CMYK doesn't it? But how do I get back to CMYK and keep the efffect? I'd have to use Tony's method I guess, which is fine. Ta again

    Not quite sure how to explain this - I want to overlap text over a shape and have the text invert in colour where it overlaps - like the difference blend does in photoshop - any suggestions please?
