Microsoft's OCS is very impressive and offers many of the features/services my company wants. However, it's not ready to replace the PBX - yet. What do you guys think of installing a basic digital phone system to provide core PSTN access and survivability, and overlying it with OCS for the...
Any suggestions how to get caller ID to display on a secretary's phone when she screens calls for the boss? When the boss's DN rings, his assistant sees just the extension ID, not the ID of the inbound caller. The boss see's the inbound caller ID, not the receptionist. BCM 400 4.0, PRI...
Once we've established an ad hoc conference call, do how can we transfer the conference call? For example, I do the dial out calls to create the ad hoc conference at my desk, but then transfer the conference call to a conference room speakerphone?
This is driving us nuts! No one has the answer - do you? $50 to the person who provides the solution.
3.7 with all appropriate patches served by a PRI. All inbound/outbound calls have echo for first ten seconds. Carrier has adjusted circuit gain and we've bypassed the internal CSU with an...
Sorry, should have mentioned that. No. All phones are digital. There is no IP in the current location, although we will be using IP trunking to connect 10 remote locations in the future.
We have a new install of a BCM400 (3.7) served by a CLEC PRI. The PRI is connecting via TDM to a MetaSwitch at the CO. Every now and again there is an echo on inbound calls. Sometimes it's on outbound.
Both the CLEC and the equipment vendor say they've checked everything they can imagine...
We're having trouble getting DNIS configured. Vendor says BCM wants to see **DNIS*. Nortel hasn't given me a straight answer yet?!?!?!
What commands are you using to route inbound calls to specific extensions or AA?
You're correct, there was a typo. Call on 101 is picked up, and call on 102 gets parked to 101.
The time issue suggested here makes sense, even though users say they are not reparking the call. They claim it is happening automatically. Hmmm.
One of my remote locations reports a probem with their new BCM400. Have any of you see this:
Phone calls change ‘park numbers’ when other calls are picked up. Call A is parked at 101 and then call B on 102. If 101 is picked up then Call B becomes 102. This is very odd, once a call is parked...
Just installed a BCM50 in a location about 800 miles away. The recorded greeting must be changed, the guy who read it sounds terrible. Any tricks for doing it remotely? Can I record a .wav file here and install it somehow?
Anyone have experience using the BCM 400's SIP capabilities with the IP Contact Center product from FrontRange software? Nortel has not certified that it's SIP will work correctly to feed calls to this application and recommends an AudioCodes SIP gateway. That's likely to kill this BCM...
I checked out the Algo box - looks like a good solution. Anyone had success using them with an Ip2004 endpoint? The literature says its a for digital phones - no mention of IP
